Kubota 2370; less than 100 hrs. Bone head move, I put about a gallon of gas in tank and ran it for about 30 minutes before I realized what I did. DOH!! Is my engine hosed or can I just drain tank and change filter and fuel? Also, would it help to put any additive in the fuel tank? Thanks, Homer the Bone Head!

You're not the first person to do that nor will you be the last. so time to do
what's got to be done.
First drain all remaining fuel and the filter to clear what's left in it. Personally I'd be changing the oil too in order to get rid of any possible contamination
from what might have washed down the cylinder walls including the oil filter too. Then I'd make sure I had a container of Power Service to add to the fuel
system before I poured the 1st drop of fuel into the tank. Assuming the oil
change is finished and new fuel filter installed prime the system and fire it up. I always use Power Service year round in my tractor as it increases the
lubrication factor along with cetane increase so it will help lubricate the complete injection system. Plenty of other additives as well on the market
so choose whatever fits your needs.
Good luck!

What he said ^^^^^^^^^ and quickly !!:):D:)

The tractor would tell you if something is wrong - I read an article the other day talking about adding gasoline to diesel !!

But I think cleaning the ol girl out now would be prudent !:)

I once dumped 5 gals. of gas into my Kubota. Didn't realize it until it stopped running. Thought I was in big trouble.Drained out as much as I could. Drained the fuel filter. Put fresh fuel in and it fired right up. Ran rough for a few seconds then leveled out. It was Miller time then!! Never had a problem with the engine after that.
Biggest problem was what to do with the fuel I sucked out. Thank goodness for a 6.0 GMC truck and lawnmowers. Mixture never caused them to miss a beat.
Do not stress.

Friend of mine was traveling with his wife and another couple in Germany in a rented VW diesel. They were getting 60 mpg and were just talking about it getting SUPER MILEAGE!!! when they whipped into a gas station and.... filled it up with petrol. DOH!

It ran about as long as it took him to get out of the gas station and then quit. Not only was he out the $350 for a tow and flush, the new full tank of fuel that had to be dumped was just over $100!

The only thing worse than sitting around a car repair shop for hours is doing it in the rain, on vacation, while you are renting the car for a gazillion dollars a day.

I rent tractors to just about everyone that asks for one. What you did happens often. We drain them, flush them and bleed the injection system. In 24 years, the only engine damage I can recall was one bent push rod.
