Does my tractor have an oil filter? I want to change the engine oil. My manual doesn't mention one.

Yes your engine most certainly does have an oil filter.

Go here and download the WSM (aka service manual)

Kubotabooks.com

You can buy parts online from Coleman equipment, or Messick's.
They will ship it right to you.

You can go on Kubota's website and get Part #'s for any part you would need.

At 299 hours in about 20 years you should be checking if the hour meter still works. Wouldn't be a bad idea to change all your filters and fluids at this point.

The last engine of any size that didn't have an oil filter that I know of was the Model A Ford engine.

I'll second that, the fluids and filters can tell you a lot about what kind of life your tractor has lead. Oh yea, welcome to the forum, enjoy.

My B2910 has the same engine as your B7800. The engine oil filter is on the side of the engine if I remember correctly. Easy to see if you look...it is really not hidden if you just take a moment.

Also two filters on the hydraulic system.

If it has a drive shaft going to the front ( 4 wheel drive) the oil pan is split and has a drain plug one each side. So, 4x4 has two plugs.

Thanks guys. I know it was a dumb question. :) mex
Mex, there usually arent many dumb questions, somebody somewhere will always have an answer whether people agree with the answer or not. It only becomes dumb, if you dont ask. And this forum has some really smart people on it. There is always someone here that will always be helpful. Just ask away!

Something to keep in mind ...(and here’s a goofy way to saying it to make the point).... YOU CANNOT USE AN “OIL EXTRACTOR” ...ON A DT OR 4WD TRACTOR.

Why? Because the suction-tube will only reach to the bottom of ONE of the two chambers of the oil sump....the one the dipstick-tube is pointed into.

Another, more-logical way to say this: If your tractor has two drain plugs in a sump.... you’ll have to drain BOTH in order to remove all the used oil.

How much can your loader lift? Also does the 3 point end of the tractor have more lifting ablility? Thanks

Your Owner’s Manual will tell you how much your 3-pt will lift. Your FEL manual will give you the specs for your loader.
Is there a good reason so few people seem reluctant to obtain/read their Owner’s Manuals?

This was about the limit I think. Pine stump. I could only lift it about 4 inches off the ground for transport but I didn’t need to drag it…using my clamp on bucket forks...
