I got all the Class 3 paperwork in for a suppressor. All titanium, multi caliber, easy to disassemble, drop into the ultrasonic to clean. My 223 can is great but I'm upping my game to 22-458. Made locally in my rural town so it's nice to support the community. BTW my 22 can is a Gemtech which S&W bought out. First thing they did was toss all the drawings on the previous and discontinued models and refuse to service or answer questions. No brainer to stay local vs Los Boise.
I took a Gemtech run suppressor class in Vegas back in 2014. It was a lot of fun. Nice suppressor choice.

That's a very nice Christmas present! I've shot some Tavors chambered in 5.56x45mm but I would certainly be interested in sending a few rounds downrange from that TS12.
Thank you!
Getting the tube rotation down is a learning experience for sure, but it's a fun boom stick. I've been loading 2 shells at a time just to practice that. Then it's on to 2 gun drills with it.
I have a bullpup problem. 556 with a 16.5 barrel. Custom milled trigger group and Mepro red dot. Fantastic for CQ 2 gun drills.
Down side is the ejection port is right next to the nose. Unless, like me, you love the smell of freedom.

Awesome. I bet that would raise a few eyebrows on the trap / SC / skeet ranges. Actually I bet it would be fun to shoot a practice round of skeet or sporting clays with it…not sure the normal members would appreciate it but that would be a cool test of talent IMO. I hope Santa brings you a case of shells. 🥃
I'm not a skeet guy, but I suspect they don't allow semi autos. Ya got me thinking though.... could I nail 4 clays launched at once? 🤔

I believe semi autos ok…I’ve used an 11-87 and an Sp-10 before at trap, sc, and skeet as a tune up to the hunting season…but I’d say an O\U would be sort of the norm…autos are sort of a pain b/c you either have to go pick up the shells or wear one of those crappy bags on the action to catch the spent shells…but I believe Bennelli and Beretta both have competitive auto loaders that are not to be scofffed at…a bullpup most certainly not the norm…but I would think you should be able to use it…you could argue it identifies as as a O/U if they are discriminatory. Seriously though, i do think it would be fun and a test of skills to shoot sporting clays or skeet.

Hmm... maybe time to up my game. Last time I shot skeet was at a county park. Maybe it was THEIR rule about semi auto. Now I really want to see how many birds launched simultaneously I can bring down.
Hanging them from trees is fun because they move (I do that for pistol also). But flying through the air is something else. Probably have a max of 5 rounds as swapping tubes takes an extra step. Surely better riflemen/ women could swap tubes quicker.

I should start buying myself an official Christmas gift. Typically I buy what I want after I’ve squirreled away the funds and completed my research and find it at a fair price. This year I got a new to me truck to write off to the farm. Last year it was the little B mowing tractor. Next year maybe another ATV for the farm.

Bonuses…got a decent one this year, sort of. Taxes took nearly 40%. After it was allover (stock deductions) I got just under 25% in the bank account. I think I’ll buy myself a jelly of the month subscription and have cousin Eddie kidnap the boss. I’ll save the rest of the $ and hope the wife doesn’t spend it all. If spending money was an Olympic sport, I’ve got a contender.

I guess you can call it that! I did receive a new Thermal scope in the mail Saturday that I ordered for coyote hunting.. I have been using a nightvision setups for years now but the thermal scope will be way better than the infrared scopes I have been using. Nothing warm bodied can hide from me now!
What thermal scope did you get? I have a Bering optics vibe 35mm. Just remember, thermal cannot see through glass.

Gotta love it. Only on a tractor forum does the Christmas thread turn into a gun/shooting thread. Oh, and you free state guys are really pissing me off with all the cool toys and evil parts…damn.

Keep the pics coming!

On a 5 Stand it could be done, but with that shorty your not going hit a thing. They beat you with distance and speed as well as smaller size clays.
If you never shot one try it, great fun with double barrel.

Is there a local dealer in central N.C. that carries this brand?
Unfortunately, no. There’s not a dealer with NC as part of their dedicated territory. Since I’m no dealer’s “territory” I am dealing with Northeast Implement (https://www.northeastimplement.com/farmi-winches). I have not put in the order yet, but thus far have found them to be very helpful, informative, and easy to deal with. They were nice enough to advise they’d had customers with Kubota’s that didn’t have the 3 point width to hook up the winch and suggested checking PTO height to ensure not too much offset. They were able to quote the winch’s dimensions instantly and it matched up well to the tractor dimensions. I kind of got the impression they weren’t intimately familiar with Kubota and didn’t quite know the difference between a L4701 and a LX. But they were intimately familiar with the winch and that’s all that mattered to me. About $5300 delivered to my door with a couple of chokers.

Did you consider any other brands? I don’t have one myself(yet), but I demoed a Hudson at their location in update NY…when I do buy I would go right back to them…they were nice and helpful and let me demo one even though I was not buying one that day.

I did consider Hudson and Wallenstein. Had a thread on here asking experience of others, got quotes, etc. Not sure there was a “bad” one out of those three. Farmi was the best price by a small amount and I’ve heard nothing negative from those that have experience with them.

So far as dealers, there don’t seem to be any near here. I would prefer to have been able to see them, but it would have required a pretty serious road trip to do that.

Edit: Technically there is a Wallenstein dealer that’s local, but they don’t have any inventory. They just order them.

Hudson has a dealer in ashboro if I read their site correctly as well as some of the other surrounding states. (I don’t know if the dealer network actually have them in stock or just distribute based on an order). I know nothing of their product relative to another…I just know I tried a Hudson, and will have one at some point. I’ve not tried any other brand (I’ve not see a taijfun or farmi in person both those are others on the list if I would see one at a logging show or something I’d like to look at in person.). Whatever you end up with please post a review. 🥃

Will do. You are correct there’s a Hudson dealer here as well. They’re same as the Wallenstein dealer. They’ll order one for you, but none in stock.
