Hey my name is AJ Hayes. My husband was recently diagnosed w Multiple Myeloma Cancer w Amaloid in March. He IS getting better. He can’t get in it at all due to his muscles have atrophied. We have a New Kubota 7060. And then the lawn mower as well. Since then I’ve been taking over tractor duties and other things. I’m getting my butt whipped. I’m scared of it. But I’m also completely in love w it as well. I almost feel sorry for my husband because I’m not going to want to use the lawnmower Kubota. That big one is awesome. Lol. My question is this. Winter is coming. Is there a way to enclose it for the upcoming winter months. At least to get the direct line winds off? I can always put a lil buddy heater or something in it. lol he summer months we hay. Maybe something removable. So that we can put just a screen up would be awesome. I even thought about buying those dog door screens that are magnetic. It’ll at least keep the dust off a bit along w the wasps hornets and such which I’m DEADLY allergic to. I’m sorry. I like breathing. Lol. There’s a few of us just on my street that this would HELP IMMENSELY.

Welcome to OTT forum AJ.

Sorry to hear about your husband. Where is he getting treatment at?

I completely understand about you enjoying being on big orange. :D
That M7060 is a nice big tractor. Since you didn't get it with a cab, I hope you at least got the 4wd version.

I to hate all the dust in the summer. Each time I bush hog, I must take medication so that I can breath.

Hi AJ, welcome! For additional choices in buyable solutions, type " tractor cabs aftermarket" into your browser. There are c hoices from a $500 canopy to $5,000 cabs. Since you are in Georgia a canopy with some improvised side screens would do for weather, but to get insect and dust control you would need a real cab with ac.

I have a couple suggestions, and some may not apply, but fwiw:

1st safety. These tractors won't just kick your butt they'll kill you! Or cost you a lot of money. So find your operator's manual and read the front section usually on yellow paper on safety. Ask your husband to go over all the things he can remember that might trip you up. Make sure the safety switches work. Do you have hills? Look around the forum for threads related to stability

The 7060 is a new tractor with a dpf filter. Are you already up to speed on regeneration procedures? If not ask here!

One suggestion to gather information would be go visit the dealer your tractor came from. Ask sales person or service manager to go over safety issues and operation with you. Ask what they sell or recommend in terms of add on cabs. Ask about trading in your 7060 for one with a cab. Doesn't hurt to ask. I was shopping for a little tractor with a cab, and dealer happened to have a used L3560 with a cab (mine doesn't) and I looked long and hard at it. The 60 series cabs are very nice, quiet.

Good luck, and check back in often.
