On my BX2670, I only have a FEL, snow blade and my trusty shovel. Aside from purchasing a middle buster to loosen the dirt then hand digging, any thoughts on how to use the Kubota to dig a footer?
Some rental places have AG equipment. Maybe you can find a 3pt post hole digger to rent. Maybe even one to attach to FEL or front Quick Attach if you got one?On my BX2670, I only have a FEL, snow blade and my trusty shovel. You could get a stump bucket. On my BX2670, I only have a FEL, snow blade and my trusty shovel. Aside from purchasing a middle buster to loosen the dirt then hand digging, any thoughts on how to use the Kubota to dig a footer?
my bad I thought you were just needing to dig some round footers for say a pole barn. Some rental places have AG equipment. Maybe you can find a 3pt post hole digger to rent. Maybe even one to attach to FEL or front Quick Attach if you got one?
That reminds me. Years ago my Uncle put in his leach bed with a rototiller and shovel. So not too much different then a footer.Digging a footer with a backhoe is not bad, ifn you had one, a shovel would be - well, insane.....
If you rent, do not rent a backhoe, rent a mini rubber tread trackhoe - it will run circles around a backhoe - no question! Even if it cost twice as much per hour - when it comes to pure digging a footer the excavator is hard to beat. It's maneuverability is unparalleled.
The picture that NIW posted is ideal.
Now I have seen crazy attachments that "strap on" to the bucket.......but that would be a complete waste of money - just saying.
