I know rewriting history is a common practice of leftists, but let’s not forget Herr Goebbels and his boss were Socialists?

domestic policies Mr. H offered the volker he didn’t march off to the ovens were quite seductive. Promises of a better life in the glorious new Fatherland to the disenchanted, poor, hungry, desperate, ass-kicked youth, unemployed and middle class small business people, farmers and office workers. They followed this charismatic flim flam man like the Progressive village kids string along after the pied piper of Sanders.
Hitler put the 6 million unemployed Germans back to work with government sponsored, public spending schemes like the autobahns, while criticizing and demeaning and blaming the wealthy for the country’s problems. That filthy rich, evil One Percent just ruin everything. Sound familiar?
And with all the moms required to join the glorious work force, der fuehrer established state childcare centers and mandatory state education that raised a whole generation of kinder under the total care and indoctrination of the Fatherland. Sound familiar?
Then he nationalized health care. Doctors were put on salary. Everyone was using free medicine for everything. 50 volker in the waiting room at 8 am every morning and the hospitals stuffed full. Years-long waiting lists, no money for research, medical schools closed down and the best and brightest docs left the Rhineland for other countries. But everything was free! Daycare and education, food stamps and clothing and housing. And the trains ran on time. Sound familiar?
Then he ordered the Breslau Jews to surrender their weapons forthwith in the name of public safety and finally banned Jewish gun ownership outright.

Ge Sta Po – to terrorize, arrest and “disappear” political dissidents. You know, like folks today who disagree with man-made climate change, gay marriage, politically correct speech or bizarre gender pronouns. Chicken Littles who sound off about government overreach and the need to plan for the worst while hoping for the best.

No, Geo, der Fuehrer and his goons were anything but the alt-right of their day. They were not “conservative” by any stretch of the imagination. They wanted a government in total control of the lives of its subjects. They wanted thought control. They hated anyone who disagreed with them, loathed free speech and feared an armed citizenry.
They were Socialists.
