I have been doing some more cross referencing on kubota parts on the subject of ROPS etc and rear end swaps.
It would appear from my investigations that the B6100 and 7100 also share some basic design features in common with the B1550 and 1750.
On the Non hst 1550/1750's the rear end will retro fit onto a 6100 & 7100, this is becuase kubota seem to use their well tested casting design for the rear end sections on quite a few machines, they are not identical but the stud layout and dimenesions are the same, even a lot of the oil seals and bearings and bushes are the same.
So there would be no reason why the rear end of a 1550 05 1750 would not slide onto the front of a B7100 etc, not hst though.
an example being , the 1750 and 7100 share the same stud layout & dimesions on the transmision to drive tunnel connection, also the same drive coupling is used on the egnine drive shaft on both.
the rear axle casting are very close , but hole layout is the same, this means that cetain Kubota Rops that fits the non hst 1550/1750will also fit the 6100/7100 as the the crucial fixing points are identical.
i have a bit more checking to do, but if i am correct it does solve another problem, that of rops for 7100, which, are very hard to find in the uk.
I think i will need to buy a cheap old 1550/1750 to experiment with..
