Deutz Fahr tractor bizarre failure

Maybe OTT beople have seen this Youtube video? ? It shows a large new-looking Deutz Fahr tractor going along on pavement and suddenly the front axle breaks off !

It appears the axle mounting frame breaks away and the machine starts cimbing over it, skidding to a stop with the axle bent down 90 degrees.

The machine has a front hitch of some kind - maybe it had broken earlier and picked now to do a spectacular dismount? For a better glimpse set the playback speed at the slowest. Anybody familiar with this machine?

It's actually a testing ground video, they are comparing braking distances of different tractors and tires.

I think the owners of that tractor have been operating it "in a manner inconsistent with it's labeling".

I've already established that the tractor was being subjected to a sudden stop test. Did you see the "test begins here" line marked through the puddle using toys?

Yes - tractor makers are adding ABS for skid control. This video shows improved steering under hard braking in slippery conditions.

Sudden braking can be expected at road speeds. Front brakes put more forces on the frame & structure. Seeing that axle roll under had to be an Ahah! moment.
