I vaguely remember them but don't think we ever had any. Our boys were born in 1976, 1991 and 1994. We were determined to provide better care for them than our parents did for us. They all made it to college without have any cavities. Ironically, the first cavity was due to something trapped under sealant.

Well, I had to think about it, but I'm not a child of the 80's. I'm a child of the 60's and they were certainly around back then. They are what I thought they are, but I just don't remember expiry dates on them. Some of those probably were left over from the 60's and just got expiry dates stamped on them to make people think they were getting the freshest of ingredients. They probably had the shelf-life of plutonium and enough red dye #1 to kill a moose, but they sure showed the cavities. But hey, I survived them and the medieval torturers of the so-called dentists of that era in history.

I have to say that I cannot, and in the same sentence, thanks to all those that can. I know exactly what they are, though can say I've never had the need for them thanks to all those who served that made sure I didn't have to. I never served, but am damned lucky that I didn't have to thanks to all that did.
