Those conspiracies were actually true.

Aliens did probe the town drunk...... big foot is in fact alive and posing as the cave man in the geiko commercials.......

Kermit the frog and Ms piggy did in fact have a love child.....

Actually, on the political and celebrity side of things, they actually did hit a home run on several occasions. They were definitely the first to report on it, and then deny deny deny. Then later it was found out to actually be true.
