My dog's favorite toy was the cat. He would chase it till the cat turned and took a swat at him. They would almost fall asleep looking at each other and the first one to close their eyes got pounced on by the other. The good thing was that neither was intent on hurting the other. Hard to believe that the dog passed away 42 years ago, but just writing this brings tears to my eyes.

Since we did not have a lot of social media you can not prove what I can not remember or will hold secret to the grave.

Sadly no joke. Multiple lawsuits have been filed against the bill. Plus our great legislators are looking at a full on ban on firearms going against the SCOTUS ruling. What is interesting, outside of the Chicago/Cook County most county level government bodies have told the State they can stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Governor has made statements he will us the State Police to enforce the laws. It could get very interesting in our State. Our county board use to be all Democrats. now there is 5 out of 26 members. Our SA has sued the State over the laws that they keep passing.

Shame, once you get outside of the I-80 area, most of the rest of the State is very conservative.

When I talked to Illinois. they transfered me around until I spoke to a captain in the Illinois state police.
He told me I could not carry, concealed or otherwise, because Illinois does not recognize the right of self defense.
I now drive hundreds of miles out of my way to avoid that state.

A person is justified in the use of force against another when and to the extent that he reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or another against such other’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, he is justified in the use of force which is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm only if he reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or another, or the commission of a forcible felony.
