That won't work with my wife. She was a transmission re-builder for many years and she knows enough about mechanics to not be fooled by that one.
That’s awesome. Did she work for a dealer, independent, or trans specialty shop? I haven’t done transmissions for a while now, somedays I wish I would have kept up with it because we will probably lose our trans guy here in the not so distant future.

She worked for a transmission rebuilding company. She was the lead tech and trainer when she retired.

If your wife likes to keep up with this kind of thing, have her check out the 2020 explorer/aviator hybrid transmission. 10 speed transmission with the electric motor/generator built in then the transfer case on the back!

One way this business has changed over the past ten years lol.

I first though this ain't a daily chuckle...then I thought wait a minute it's about fords so it's funny!

I was a certified Ford electrical engineering tech for a while, along time ago, so I'm fully qualified to make that statement!
Transmission mechanic was a good friend at that time too. :D

Thats pretty cool. Im going on 18 years in this and its pretty crazy to look back at what it was when I started. And to think I only need about 30 more years:D
Its hard to get and retain new techs in this business, and a lot of older guys just don’t want to keep up with the technology. Its gonna be an interesting ride

I'm just curious why the two other tractor operators thought they wouldn't get stuck just like the first.

I'm thinking they were doing the field in tandem with their gps, and were reading their email instead of looking where they were going, and all plowed into the mud hole at once

That and who is the lucky devil that gets to dig out and then dive down and attach a cable or chain the the tractors.
First one in the hole hooks up the chains ;)
