The HP difference is just the way it's measured and equipped, they are the same engine inside.

Thanks Wolfman, Ive seen where they crank up rpms a little and get a couple more hp.
Yes and tested without a hydraulic pump.
Really no gain, just playing with the numbers.

Odd thing is there is a D850 that actually has 22 HP as a base.
I have that engine and I don't know if I really agree, but it's really hard to test and get constant accurate numbers.

Yea, I wouldn't even know how to find another if I tried.
The one I have has been completely rebuilt with all OEM parts.
An expensive rebuild.
I don't recommend an OEM parts rebuild, it's not worth it.

Thanks for your input Wolfman, I don't put alota hours on equipment and I am old so aftermarket parts are sompthing I've looked at, there are several posters with similar parts and prices. Id like to know which ones are the better quality,

Of all the aftermarket parts dealers Kumar Bros. has been it the longest and is very consistent on quality.
But they are not cheap on price.
You can pretty much use anyone for the hard parts they are very general parts.
Just use an OEM head gasket.

Ill plug that in as recomended, I appreciate the help when buying parts that cost hundreds more than necessary, . I normally would buy OEM stuff , but Kubota parts prices limit what I can do, and I don't use my stuff hard or often.. Eric
