Have a 1982 B7100 HST with a D750 engine. Has been doing two things - bubbles coming up at the base of the middle injector (even after I replaced the copper washer there), and worse, leaking diesel at the top of that middle injector - the connector is very rough to the touch (how would it get so roughed up?). Can I polish that end with emery cloth or something, or do I need to replace the line?

I have posted two pictures - one of each item. Why continue to bubble, does that mean it loses significant power, and what fixes the leaks?

Thanks

When working with injector lines, cleanliness is the important thing. A grain of sand or speck of dirt can cause a big leak. If it were mine, I'd take the leaky line off, and clean it up, first. if you have a buffing wheel, use that, or do it by hand with fine steel wool, or those scotch brite pads. Also, from looking at the nuts on the lines, get a good 17mm wrench, to tighten and loosen. Looks like somebody used vice grips on them...

hmmmm you have change the copper o-ring and still bubbles?
i have change mine, look here post#15 and under, and everything went smooth, did you put the right copper ring?
did you clean the hole and the threads?
have you check for cracks?

as for the line that goes to the injector you can remove the line and take a rasp and carefully clean the line and recreate the conical shape again, and then with a fine sand parer make it shine,
it will go in the injector pattern better when you tighten the bolt.

Problem solved (I think). Did have to polish fuel line ends with 320 grit paper and learn how to crank down on each injector just thus and so to be sure it remains seated. So, ok right now, but we shall see if it lasts.
