Hello Folks,
I recently purchased a Woods Mow'n Machine with a D722E engine. It had a little oil and white "blow by" from the hose coming from the valve cover. It was taking about 1/2 qt every couple hours of mowing....until yesterday.
Yesterday I was mowing and noticed it was getting warm, I stopped and cleaned the screen and the temp dropped fine but kept sneaking back up. I was just mowing a yard with nothing tall or crazy.
After a few minutes I noticed my dribble of oil was now painting a stream. I shut it down and let it cool off. Apparently I caught it as soon as it started, the oil wasn't very low. I did check the coolant level after it cooled off and it is not out but down some, this is the second time in 3 mowing's that I have found it low. There is no visible sign of a leak.
Could this all be a head gasket or am I looking at blow by from the rings?
The engine has 1700 hours and starts and runs great.
Thanks for any advice!!!!!
