My engine blows oil out of the vent on the tappet cover. My compression on
# 1-270 # 2-280 #3-270 with engine cold. In 3 hours of running i loose 1 pint of engine oil, there is no fuel in the oil. How would the engine create pressure?
Can it be a bad gasket on the ejection pump ? The engine has 760 hours on it. I also had a fuel leak on top of the fuel pump, replaced 1 fuel line did not help at first but the leak stopped was getting ready to replace O rings on the fittings Help with ideas please

If those are true and accurate compression readings, it's rebuild time. Surprised it actually runs. I'd like to see them 300 minimum, 450 is much better. I think factory spec was 440-500, IIRC.

Combustion gases entering crankcase, causing engine oil to be expelled.

Something doesn't add up, shouldn't have anywhere near those compression #'s with only 760 hours, but it also shouldn't have blow by.
Sounds like something has gone horribly wrong with it, like sucked in dirt and killed the rings.

I bought this mower new , Its bean well taken care of was always inside yes the compression is low for 760 hours it runs great, starts great don't notice any power loss only smokes on start up as it always did as far as compression could be the gage.
I read some where the fuel transfer pump gasket could be bad, My fuel transfer pump is electric.
Can the injection pump create pressure to the crank case and blow the oil out of the vent ? This problem started all at once

No, your injection pump is not creating pressure in the crankcase.
What model of mower is it?

I don't know if this is the same outfit.

http://waltstractor.net/

This Walt is located down by Neosho, Mo. Maybe he has another location also, or maybe it's a totally different company.

The Walt down at Stark City is excellent to deal with. I've had him help me with a dual clutch in a Deutz 6206. This tractor was a trade in at Olathe BobCat and they separated the tractor to work on the clutch.

After a couple of months they put it back together saying it was fixed.

After I had the tractor for a couple of years I decided to fix the clutch so the PTO would work without stopping the tractor to shift.

When I separated the tractor I took 6 pictures and E-mailed them to Walt. He analyzed the problem with me over the phone one Sat. morning. Knew what part was MISSING, sent it to me, and trusted I would send him the funds!!

People like that are far and few between.

Like I said, not sure if it's the same company, but if it is.....I'd give them an A+.
