I inherited my Grandfather’s L2950 Kubota tractor and it needs some work. The engine has been torn down and the cylinder wall is worn well beyond a .020”/.5mm oversized piston. My dad had purchased a sleeve/rod/piston combo online (probably the same one sold on eBay) Since this engine isn’t a sleeved engine originally - I believe the block will need to be bored to accept the new non-flanged “dry” sleeve. I’ve been calling around to machine shops in Kentucky and Indiana (I live in Alabama) to find someone very familiar with doing these types of sleeves on ag engines. I’m writing here to see if there is a engine machinist in the South East United States that specializes in Kubotas getting sleeved. I’m down to crate and ship the torn down shortblock to get it worked on. Thanks in advance.
