Recently purchased a new cutting edge for my L3010 with an ATI bucket from the dealer. The old on was installed with the beveled end facing down. The new one came with the bolts installed from ATI which would indicate that the beveled end would be installed facing up. Does anyone know which is correct? Thank You

The beveled edge should be on the top side. When standing in front of the bucket looking down at it, you should see the beveled edge.

Very good question!

In woodworking - a student is taught to place a chisel BEVEL down to control the angle of cutting, thus using the heel of the bevel to control the bite.

On a bucket, if it was installed with bevel down, it would still work, BUT you would need to roll the bucket a little bit forward to get it to "bite," where as the bevel up will allow the bucket to be flat on the ground and still have a chance to bite at the rate that you wish to cut.

All replacements are bevel edge up - example

If I'm reading you correctly, either someone installed the original edge backwards or it's just worn that badly.
Mine is worn so heavily that the top is flat and the bottom has the bevel now.
Note to self: Replace bucket edge! :)
