Fortunately…these exmples are EXTREMELY rare…. but they are humorous as hell…and the only reason they have validity.

They are NOT common…despite the wiillingness of adherents to beleive otherwise.

There are at least a dozen YouTube channels posting new examples continuously.

Yeah, they are common.

There has been a huge uptick in DUMB over the last 10 years or so in case you havent noticed so yeah these things and other dumb things are getting much more common.

2 years ago i had a new hire worker, 22 years old, not his first construction job, ask me which end of the extension cord i wanted in the basement to power the lightset. My instructions prior to this question was to get the generator and lightset out of tool trailer. set up lightset in basement, run a cord from the generator to lightset. TRUE story and there are many more just like it. My wife says i need to wear a camera to work as these stories of dumb are getting UN-believeable

i've watched that and some related

having been in the repair business for over 3 decades, I didn't find it so much funny as I did reality--a lot of those things I've been through. Some I haven't. So really, it was more reminiscing on past experience more than laughing although I still did that too at times.

I have one that I was working on last week. Customer states that the transmission makes noise. I found a hole in the back of the case. Full of mud/water of course. Called customer and he wants it warrantied. Said it just happened and that warranty should cover it. I asked him how deep the water was and he said "it ain't never been in no water it outta be under warranty and I ain't paying for anything". My response? Well sir, there is a smallmouth bass inside your transmission, would you care to explain how that got in there?

And of course silence for a second or two until he started going berserk. Outstanding. Send me pictures I don't believe you!

I grew up and went to school in Austin. Been all over the State (Texas) in my 68 years. Married (40 yrs. ago) and moved to Deep East Texas (behind the Pine Curtain). It is without a doubt ' A whole 'nother world' here.

I'll just leave it at that.

LOL… Let’s just put it this way…. When you check-in an East Texas park, lake, camping spot, etc…and you read the “rules”…. THAT is all you need to know about deep East Texas. (Lake Murvaul rule #10 “Absolutely No Fighting”.)
:ROFLMAO:
(San Augustine, Milam, Nacogdoches, Diboll are my young “stompin’ grounds”.)

Yep, I'm right in the thick of it. Just outside of 'Nac'. So pray for me. ;)

Been watching that channel for years. It is stunning how stupid people are.
Well foot I dont think it is being stupid, just uneducated. My wife's one grand daughter has a husband that is a collage grad, smart as a whip about so many things. The problem is he does not know how to take a flat tire off the car, has no clue how to plug it, and then put it back on.

There's a difference between ignorance and stupidity, and I have to agree with @Lil Foot that much of it is pure stupidity in combination with a complete lack of common sense and thought.

Yes, we are all ignorant, just in different areas. For example, there probably aren't many nuclear physicists on this board. That means most of us are varying degrees of ignorant on that topic.

But the kind of stuff shown in these videos requires some special kind of stupidity, combined with some arrogance, I think, AND a large dose of ignorance.

I agree! Ignorance isn't the insult some think it is. We're all ignorant of many things and it's an "easy" fix to change ignorance to informed.

Agreed. And always remember:
