Like everybody else in here I sometimes cruse through CL and FB Market place, ya never know what goodies you might find. So this morning, Im just looking through,, GOOD LORD these people are nuts, or they think the people they are trying to sell to are crazy !!!! Things that should find their way to the scrap yard, are priced a couple bucks less than new, and usable things equal to or more than new! I mean I dont have a problem with someone selling something used and making a few buck off it, but jeeze oh petes get real on the prices

It surprises me what some people will pay for something that I think is junk, but there have been a few times when I wanted something that was not available new and I paid the price.

Up here 'Bryan's Auction' makes Millions( 12 %) every few months on the rediculous prices people pay for 'stuff'. The guvs love it too( compounded 13% ) !! Sold $100 item is $150 'out the door' !!!!!!!!
One has to have an idea of thing's values. I just bought a Honda tiller, the little one, FG110 with a GX 25 engine. Sells at Lowe's for $449. I paid $50 cause he couldn't get it started, and it looks new.

I also look at Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, but I always offer what I feel that the item is worth, not what they are asking. I have gotten some good deals that way, and other times they don't consider my offer and the item doesn't sell for weeks. I will then try again, and sometimes I can buy it, and other times they are still stubborn.
Some farmers are the worst. They have big round bales of hay setting in a row and been there for 2 years 'cause they aren't selling them at THAT price. They eventually deteriorate to being of no value and used to fill a ditch. Same way with old implements!
