Craigslist comes through again but mixed feelings about selling a trailer and possible tractor work.

The check cleared today so I hooked up the trailer and met the new owner at a bank in town to get the title signed over and notarized. The new owner is thrilled with the trailer and so all is good in the world. Here he is getting ready to hook up his new trailer. Sure is easy with a back up camera ... I need one of those.

So in short, I bought the trailer on 02/20/21 and sold it on 03/04/24 for $900 more than I paid for it. That's a decent investment I'd say.

No electronics or Bluetooth to not work. KISS principle. Plus you have a couple tennis balls if a tennis match breaks out.

You sure there’s no method to your madness? Seems like you’re a good deal magnet. That’s about $0.80/lb. Can’t hardly by chicken feed for that price anymore (well maybe you can, but not hamburger, remember a buck a pound?). Keep up the good work.

The only method to the madness is an addiction to steel, welding, designing and manufacturing. That addiction drives me to always be on the lookout for steel. Last year I won an auction lot for $100 that was for ten 20ft sections of 4" schedule 40 galvanized pipe. That's $3,500 worth of steel for a mere $100. I would have won a lot more steel if I hadn't screwed up and elected to bid online. There was a significant delay placing bids so I was losing lots over and over again.

I have no interest in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or whatever but constantly check craigslist, specifically Farm & Garden, Materials, Boat Parts, Heavy Equipment and Tools. The biggest risk I face is taking home every dog, cat, goat, calf, pig or horse that's looking to be "rehomed".

I haven't even looked into this yet, but I bet there's a Bluetooth magnetic camera that could work with a cell phone. I have an Alpine audio system in my truck with an iLX-207 head unit and bought an Alpine license plate camera a few years ago, but haven't run wires up to the head unit.

Dang Bluetooth made me back into my trailer…hopefully not. Nice when that stuff works as it should. Frustrating when it doesn’t.

they're everywhere, you just have to make sure to be dilligent in checking them out.

but there's also some decent finds, if you have the time to go through all the rest of the garbage-and the time to watch it almost hourly.

Craigslist comes through yet again! I listed a Snugtop shell on Craigslist a few weeks ago and had someone stop by today to look at it. I used the MX and pallet forks to get it installed on his F250 and all is good. He got a good deal at $1,500 and I'm happy to see it go and happy to get something for it.

I did look at each $100 bill carefully to make sure that they weren't play money!
