Is it worth fixing / replacing a differential case on a B20? It runs good just unsure how involved/expensive it is to repair/replace. Any advise is welcome.

Before you sink big $ into repair, you need to find someone who can figure out why it cracked.Unfortunately I don't have history. I got the tractor with the leak. It may have gotten slightly worse while using a box blade, but I can't be sure. What kind of job is it to remove the case? Are there any special tools required (pullers, gauges, large wrenches, etc)?
Thanks Dave for your insights. Before you sink big $ into repair, you need to find someone who can figure out why it cracked.
You could replace the case and have it break again.
Did you get it with a hoe attached? i.e. a TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe)
You mention using a box blade.............

Thanks Lugbolt;that stuff is not easy to weld. It's been full of oil, grease, dirt for.....how long? Oil/grease/dirt/anything is terrible news for aluminum welding. It can be done but it is not going to be easy, and by all means don't use some welder who ain't got a lot of aluminum (cast) experience.
Replace it if possible. While in there inspect everything very well. I haven't seen the case crack however I've seen ring and/or pinion gears lose teeth, and when the loose teeth get jammed between other parts stuff breaks.
