Countyline Cat1 top link too wide for B6100?

Just picked up a top link (didn't notice there wasn't one when it was delivered) from Tractor Supply, and it's more than 1/16" too wide to fit between the ears that hold the top link pin.

I don't want to take it to the grinder but can't waste the time returning it and trying to get one that would fit. (Just took another look at it, man that weldment is narrow! But no possibility of unbolting and adjusting.)

I would appreciate your best suggestion, whatever ideas (or explanation/information you have -- I'm VERY NEW to this kind of thing even though I'm old enough to have changed Noah's diapers) you have.

If it was me I would grind one end down until it fits the tractor and put it to work. Sometimes on these small tractors and implements minor fitting is part of the game.

Thanks, Bulldog, that was my first thought. Then thought to ask the Forum. Then thought to investigate unbolting and re-fastening. <chuckle>

I'll second Bulldog's comment, On the older B's they hadn't quite standardized the setup yet so a little tweaking here and there is needed.

I just ground mine to fit, took a little from both sides.

I had to do a little tweaking to get a mower to fit on my 6100.
