I’m in the market for a 3 pt snowblower for my BX2680. I’m leaning towards the SB1064. Would this be a good fit for my tractor or would the SB1051 be the better choice in your opinion? Thanks for the input and all the knowledge shared on here!

MY one year experience tells me that you should get the wide one if your tractor is rated for one . I bought the only one I could get my hands on last year & its just a inch or two wider than my 3301 with the wheel spacers on . Until the ground frezze's real good I cant work the shoulder of my road without my tires sinking in . The extra overhang would be great in my world .
YMMV

hmmmm 57 vs 70" wide the narrower one will be easier to use in corners, while the wider one take an extra foot of snow away.
wider would be OK for light ,fluffy snow, doubt it'd like the wet 'yuck' I have to deal with most of the time.
wider also needs more HP...one ballpark is 1/3HP per inch of auger...so do the math......

since I have more tight, hard to get areas and 'wet' snow, I'd choose the '64'.

My machine has 2 horizontal augers , I now that I have some time on it I don't get alot of clogs . It really shines on day old stuff that's had a change to crystalize , it'll toss that stuff forever . I dont have any chute control on mine yet so I have some eye bolts , one on the chute & a couple on the top of the blower . If I get lazy & dont want to get off te machine & move the chute it will blow across the road with no problem
if the snow has had some time to set up .

Everyone will give you a different answer on physical size and why it works for THEM.

How do the rated PTO HP #'s stack up for your machine and the 2 snowblowers you posted about?

(I'm too lazy to go and look them up - that's your job - to present us with that info)

:)

I know my tractor is within the specs on both I’m just not sure if it’s too close to the minimum hp rating for the 1064

Depends on how much snow you get and how much time you'll think you'll save with another 14" of mouth width of blower opening.
. 19.5hp @ the PTO is not much to work with when you get a foot of heavy wet snow and your blowers opening is huge.

I'm no expert but it SEEMS like the 1064 is geared towards a much larger machine.

p.s.- you're starting to get a little bit close to the 3-pt lifting limits with the larger blower also.
Myself I'd go for the smaller (and lighter) blower. A bunch of heavy wet snow on the blower (and packed in the blower) will sure be pushing those limits over time, as PTO (hp) drops and the 3pt ages.

But again....no expert. Just one guys opinion. Everyone has one ;-)

yikes, bigger one is 100# heavier ! As the HAM says, go with the smaller one. One extra pass isn't a big deal..
