OK I know Im not the sharpest tack in the box, but does anybody know a better way of flushing and coolant system on a BX than yanking off the lower hose
Lol What reasons if i may ask? There is a reason why folks choose to yank off the lower hose....... It's a pain in the azz when the petcock breaks.
Who else doesn't want the petcock to break? You gotta be more careful this days, More reasons why i'm out here asking questions. Glad i could figure it out. There is a reason why folks choose to yank off the lower hose....... It's a pain in the azz when the petcock breaks.
Thanks so much buddy, It helps. There is a petcock at the bottom of the radiator if I am not mistaken - but it is a beeeach to get to!
There is a bolt for the lower block too and a bolt to burp the air once filling.

I have a BX, and that little flimsy (plastic?) drain petcock looks like it's asking for a reason to break.Lol What reasons if i may ask?

I use the bottom hose of the radiator. I'm not looking for trouble.
Long time ago I learned that discretion is the better part of valor....
Just today I probably replaced a good (but cheap) part on my pellet stove because I got impetuous taking old part out.
