Likely so. But honestly I don't care. (not being flippant BTW) I've just always been a more=less trouble regardless of the fluid involved. And yeah I get it but in my case if I drop an extra $15 or so on it per year it's just something I do, it's a past time and makes me feel better as I'm in there checking things at the same time. I don't have a need to squeak every last cent of work out of every fluid or filter on the machine.
I treat my vehicles the same way. I.E. our Rav4 Hybrid (bought new 8/20) is a bit over 40k miles. But this year it will be treated to O&F change (6 mos and about 2800 miles interval), both transaxle fluids changed, coolant in both systems (hybrid has 2 systems but same type coolant), likely brake fluid flush as well. Does it need all this? Likely not. But I need/want 100% reliability. That car ferries "da boss" and our little granddaughters and last thing I need is them stranded because I tried to eek out a few extra miles on something. Yeah, call me weird or obsessive but I've always done this and won't stop
