I have a L3710 GST and would like to put in an engine block heater for this winter.

What’s the best one to to buy?

Get the correct Kubota part from your dealer. If you are shy about installing it, then have the dealership do it for you. Some are easier than others.

Talk to your dealer to see if there are downsides about doing it yourself.
On some models such as my M7040, the block heater heats the block and then the timer for the glow plugs gets confused because it thinks the outside air temp is warm and holds off the glow plugs and when your engine is inhaling -30F air you will find it hard to start.
On some models the dealer changes where the glow timer gets its info so it is reading OA temp.

Consider installing a 'battery warming blanket' ! A cold battery loses 1/2 or more of it's electrons and won't spin a warm engine over. It'll also recharge better .
