I'm thinking my l3901hst may be a victim of this. At 104 hours my rear main seal is leaking oil. i have had my tractor 9months and 5 of those months have been in what those in the lower 48 considered cold weather.
Dealer said bring it in "sounds like a warranty fix" so I'm hauling it in Monday. Should be interesting to see if a frozen PCV system is the culprit or just a bad seal. I'll mention the CCV concern when I drop it off. I sure hope this is something I won't be fighting every winter.
Spring is coming. Oh wait it's only March. Two more months of snow.

When you live in Alaska everything freezes unless it is protected by a heat source. Did your dealer charge you for the recall upgrade? If so, I would be having a discussion with the Kubota rep or corporate.

4 hours seems excessive to install the kit. What did the dealer itemize on your invoice?
The post you are responding to is over 6 years old, It takes approx 4 hours to install the kit and there is no charge.
The kit includes tube heaters, insulation, an alternator, wiring harness extension, relays, etc.

You say there is "no charge" to install the kit?
You responded to a 6-year-old post about an L3901 which was eligible for the Kubota upgrade. At that time it would be installed for no charge.

I have no idea what you want the kit installed on. Depending on what you have and its age, yours may or may not be covered.
