but I have never had a cold beer spill on me and cause that damage. My coffee drinking is done before that so not a problem.

I switched to a Nespresso original machine. Like this one. I had to get some shorter cups, but it works for me. I'd only drop a cup.
I like that it's small to use much less counter space, and I only have to clean a cup.

They mark their cups with "hot" because they were already sued. maybe I should sue my wife, she usually makes my coffee for me.
