I love good coffee black , I've thought of switching to decaf thinking the process is bad though ?
The problem is not so much the process (caffeine is just literally "washed" out of the bean prior to roasting), but there are so few high quality varieties available decaffeinated.

i just had a cup with a beer......

My dad died at 62 and his at 52 both from a heart attack.

My mom's dad lived to 86 and was a mess.....Weighed 300 plus could not walk 20 feet and parked the golf cart at the back door. Had the whole farm setup so he could feed and water from it.

Me 49 last Saturday eat healthy raise most of my own food zero fried stuff to amount to anything. Lots of venison little beef or pork and I have high BP so go figure.

Got my dad's genes I guess.

My dad would eat meat potatoes and gravy for lunch and dinner. Sweat rolls and PBJs for his lunch box meals. His bed time snack was cheese chunks on fig newtons or spoon fulls of peanut butter. He worked until he death at 88 years old. Coffee was injected when needed as he worked a swing shift in an open pit coal mine.

For me it's 3 cups in the morning and 2 after supper. Hot, strong and black.

Do limit myself to 1 cigar a day. Dark and strong as well.

Both could get out of hand if not for self-imposed moderation.

Coffee is life for me - all day every day and strong. I used to arrive at work before others and would make coffee. One morning I went for my second cup and someone had put a post it note with a skull and crossbones on the pot.

My wife's grand ma, great aunt, and aunt all made coffee that was powerful. I asked them all time if it was roofing tar!
