Hey good news I got the Orange Monster home finally!

But he is in a dire need of a bath!

I sprayed some soapy cleaner on the real dirty areas and will let it sit overnight.

1 I have a power washer and have cleaned vehicles before. So some areas get full power and others a gentle touch. Are there any "NO-NO" areas on the tractor? Where you just wipe/clean it by hand?

2 What is the preferred grease for the tractor/loader lube points?

3 The loader is point are "secured"? by small bolts and nylock nuts. Most are rusted is this the factory or preferred way of doing this?

4 Does anybody make S/S 3pt hitch pins? 3/4" 7/8" dia 4-6" length "D" handle style?

5 Anybody ever reroute the muffler pipe up and out. To me exhausting out near the lower radiator hose and tire is not the best idea.
I know this means cutting a hole in the hood. But I am sure the 6000-7000 series used to do that.

6 Is it possible to convert the fixed ROPS to a folding ROPS?

Thanks
Mike

PS: Any other B2400/2410 owners out there?

Stay away from the fuse boxes- I always wipe down my dash and seat by hand as well. I use the higher priced multi-purpose grease from WallyLand. The name's excaping me at the moment, Mygic or something like that.

I never pressure wash anything unless it's going to be torn down for a total rebuild, it blows dirt and grit in all the places it shouldn't be. For light oily places I spray some Simple Green on it and let it sit a bit, then hose it off, same with dirt stains. Simple Green won't harm paint and metal finishes like allot of other cleaners. If it is really grungy you can take a pan of mineral spirits and a brush and loosen it up like that. Also, WD40 sprayed on caked grunge will loosen it up too, takes longer though. The idea is don't blow grit and dirt in the pivot points and bushings, better greasy than ruined.;)
