I run the WM-8M on my L3400 and have had absolutely no complaints. Very solid machine. After doing a lot of research, I felt that this machine gave the most bang for my bucks, with the bucks being the most important. Also the 200 lb. 24” Diameter Flywheel (dynamically balanced) was one of the heaviest offered.

I have a Braber Agri-Ease chipper, a clone of Wallenstein. It works very well, and is self feeding. The major difference between it an the Woodmax, is the Wallenstein and Agri-Ease are direct drive, no belts. They have a larger diameter, lower RPM flywheel with 4 knives instead of a smaller, faster RPM wheel with 2 knives.

I got mine locally through a dealer for significantly less than a Woodmax.
