I tried to order some of this oil online Friday 12/13 late evening. Only saw the stores had 2.3 or 4 gallons available the got notice "No Longer Available" popped up. I waited until Sat. AM and called the store with 8 gallons listed. Person said he'd check. Came back and told me, yes he has 8 gallons but can get more. I confirmed the price $8.95. Asked how long before he got the additional gallons, and if it was coming from a warehouse? No, he getting it from a store 30 miles up the road, he'd have it by 1:30, they have a truck going back and forth making 4 trips each day. I asked him to consider what he had sold, and I'd there at 1:30 to pick it up. He agreed.
I went there (25 miles for me) and figured I get what he had and be satisfied if the other was not there. My total order of 12 gallons was setting on a cart waiting for me. Total cost $117.
He also looked on his computer and told me he had access to 144 gallons and could get them in one day, same price. He did not know why it was on sale.
Called a friend on way home to let him know. When he call the same store within 20 minutes of me leaving the person told him cost was $22. When he told them his friend just left and told him about the cost she asked him his friend's name and she changed the price for him.
It appears the folks in the stores are unaware of the sale price until you direct them to it. Go to their website, at the top it will have SPECIAL OFFERS (in red). Remind the counter folks and you're home free.
