I have an F2690 that is too high to get into my garage. I‘m looking at buying trailer tires for the front
with same bolt pattern that should allow it to fit. The tire outside diameter will be about 16” vs 24”. Seeing this is a 4WD unit, will this be a problem.

Yes, the ratio between front and rear rolling circumference can only be changed by a few percent, maybe 1to 2 percent (I don’t remember exactly)

Can I run it safely in 2WD, it’s just to get in and out of the garage occasionally for maintenance
Yes, but could you just let air out of the tires to get it in and out?

I think he's talking about swapping on small ones just to go in the garage when he needs to work on it. Put the normal tires back on when mowing.

Short answer is that it'll be fine in 2WD. No reason it'd cause issues for short distances. Unless you go so low something drags on the ground.

OK, have to ask, can you not lower the ROPS, or just get rid of it ?
Should have mentioned I have a cab, not reasonable to remove it. I bought two trailer tire wheels, the bolt pattern is 5x4-1/2. These tires are 16” high rather than the front wheels that are 24”. This solved my issue. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap them out.

ah...ok , TEMPORARY tire swap....JUST for servicing...... whew... that makes a LOT more sense !
I was going to suggest raising garage up 1 block higher.... BTDT for the 8by16 garden shed years ago.

I would be raising the garage doors!
This is why my house garage has 9 foot tall doors. ;)
