Anyone know how to drain hydraulic fluid in B7200D 4WD. Don't have service manual and can't seem to locate plug.

Recently took off PTO gear in back and lots of hydraulic fluid leaked out, do you think that bleaded off the hydralic fluid so all I would need to do is reattached gears and add fluid?

Sorry to be so uninformed but don't see where I fill hydraulic fluid. See oil, coolant, diesel buy hydraulic ????:D

The way I drained all of my hydraulic fluid on my L3750 was to mow 3 foot high grass without a shield covering the driveshaft for the front drive. The grass wrapped around the shaft and got underneath the oil seal at the bottom of the transmission/front drive gear box. It took 3 days to drain all the fluid. After that, I found the drain plug on the bottom of that front drive gear box. There's also 2 more drain plugs farther back on the bottom of the transmission. The one farthest back also had two big magnets on it to catch metal particles. That's probably the best one to use so that it can be cleaned off. Not sure if the B series has the same set up though.

Near the suction line at the bottom of the trans you should find a plug.

At the bottom of each of the final drive/axle housings you will find a plug, it may be in line with the rest of the bolts so don't be fooled.........the bottom bolt should be a plug.

You'll also want to remove the suction line filter and clean it. Beware that it may be difficult to reinstall.......do not cross thread.

thanks I am very unfamiliar with the things you mentioned. Below is a post I found some where else, would you agree with it?
"There should be a plug for the trans/hydraulic fluid just a head of the left foot rest (if you are sitting on the tractor). It is close to the bell housing and should be easy to spot. It has a crush washer on it for sealing."

Yes?

Should be similar.

Suction line, filter.

Main drain plug.

Axle housing drain.......one on each of the two.

I can't be more helpful than this.

Lsmurphy has you covered you covered. Nice work!

They only thing I might add is the hydro fluid is filled behind the seat on my l3800. Mine is orange and you should be able to unscrew it with your hand, you'll need a funnel too.

Make sure you put the proper fluid back into it and change the filter or filters too. Not really sure which fluid you need, I'm sure somebody else will chime in with the correct info.

Let us know how it works out and good luck.
