Chain Box

Installed the Bolt On Hooks chain box yesterday. Simple installation comes with self-drilling screws and easily attaches to the quick hitch. My Land Pride QH15 doesn't have a gusset on but one side so could only install 5 screws but it seems secure. Nothing fancy but really handy. I opted for the optional lid, to keep pins from bouncing out. If interested www.boltonhooks.com

The idea is nice, I think I'd buy 3 50 cal ammo boxes instead. Lids lock and seal better too.

I have one mounted on the back of my B3200. Great for gloves, extra sheer bolts, tools, pins etc. one thing I’ve noticed is that the pins in the hinge tend to vibrate out over time. Deform that outer edge of the hinge so you don’t lose them.

I was a bit leery of giving up the space too. Always a pain connecting the PTO shaft and making even harder would defiantly suck. I put some thought to it and decided to mount on the left side as I always use the right side when connecting accessing the PTO. After installing I installed the brush hog and had no issue with the new chain box being an issue...fingers crossed for future PTO driven implements.

The ammo can is an excellent idea. I tried several locations for mounting a ammo can but with a cab it's a struggle to find a location that works.

Can I see pics from the backside? I wasn't sure about the QH15 so I've been telling customers it would not fit.

It fits MANY of the "imported" QH's, that's why we don't call it a "Speedco Chain Box".

There is a template you can download from the website to see if it will fit your particular model.

Mine is bolted to the loader boom tower. Still there and works great after 7 years.

My ballast holds two 20' 5/16" chains with a grab hook on one end a log choker hook on the other. Total weight 586#'s
