BX23s here, land pride QH05 quick hitch, w/7ft county line rear blade, no issues turning blade around at all.

Sounds like you should buy a quick hitch, it will make your life alot easier.

Hi there, is a quick hitch a good thing to have if you only have one implement ? ( the rear blade ) ?
I was watching the install of one yesterday on YouTube, but it was for something for tilling the fields. I should try and find a video showing the install of a rear blade.

I only have the rear blade right now but it’s going to be well worth it considering the hassle it is to connect and disconnect the implements. Basically you just back up to it., you may not even have to get off the tractor, I’m not going that far.. lol

It’s the difference between wanting to disconnect the implements or just doing it!

Be aware that unlike the A-C SC system, 'quick hitch' system is NOT universal ! Several here have had to modify implemtents and/or toplinks to make QH work.....
I'd still look at adjusting the shims on the pivot post though...

Yes, you can use a QH for your rear blade.

Buy the LP QH, you`ll buy more implements as you grow. I didnt buy one at first, but after a couple years later, as i bought more implements (as I grew), and it became a HUGE hassle hooking and unhooking them from my tractor all the time. Once i put the QH on, life became ALOT more easier AND fun. I dont even get off my tractor anymore to change out implements, unless i have to hook up the PTO to something.

As for what QH to buy, i chose the LandPride, 1) because its MADE for my tractor, 2) because every implement i have, works with it, flawlessly. My only advice to you, is NOT to buy some cheap QH. Stay with a GOOD brand that will work.

Also, before you buy more implements, make sure it is QH compatible. Alot of older used stuff, is not. I`m not saying you cant make the older stuff work, because there is always a way to make things work, if you have the knowledge, time, and tools.

I was just looking at all the replies here, and I don't see one that I thought I had posted, unless I posted it and didn't hit the "post reply" button. I had written something like .... update on the blade...... and said that I had dropped the blade down a little bit ( using the 3ph ) button.... and magically the blade was able to clear that bottom part of the right arm without a problem, there was lots of clearance. If the 3ph is 100% up, it won't clear. Drop it down about 4 inches, and bingo, the blade is able to rotate.

OK, THAt makes a lot of sense ! I always rotate my blade when it's maybe 2-3 inches off the ground, easy to spin as it's level-ish. Spins even easier if you put some grease on it..form some reason my 6 decade old blade ran out of grease awhile ago.....
