I can’t find the serial number on my B7200 HST 4WD.

Kubota says the Serial # location for “B Series: On right-hand side of the front axle” but I can’t find one.

www.tractordata.com says it’s on the Right side of transmission case. I have a Serial # on the trans on my B7100 but nothing on the B7200.

Does anyone have a different location or a picture of the serial # location?

It is located on the LH side of the frame, right above the running board.

Whitetiger,

Thanks for the reply but, as I stated, " www.tractordata.com says it’s on the Right side of transmission case. I have a Serial # on the trans on my B7100 but nothing on the B7200.", hence the issue. That plate is not there. I know you're saying LH side but I checked both sides and I believe your image shows the RH side.

The picture I posted is from the B7200 Operators manual and it is of the LH side.

Tractor data is wrong again...
Like @whitetiger said it's on the left hand side.
The image shows it on the LH side also.
If it's not there then someone has taken it off.

I've always considered the RH/LH from the viewpoint of sitting on the tractor, not standing in front of it, just like in cars: LH drive is from inside the vehicle. Either way, there is no tag so I'm looking for another location for the serial number.

On gear drive models the serial number is on the LEFT side of the transmission tunnel (aka clutch housing) exactly as shown in Whitetiger's excerpt from the owners manual.

It is physically stamped into the LEFT side of the housing just above the data plate exactly as shown in Whitetiger's post.

You might want to look for a stamping rather than a data plate.

EDIT: I have added a third picture I found on the web of the data plate on an HST model. You can see the beginning of the serial number in the lower right hand corner. It is stamped into the LEFT side of the clutch housing just like the gear drives.

Mystery solved. The HST serial is in a different spot than the geared model.
Knowing where to wipe off the grease turned it from this:
B7200 HST Serial # - Before.jpg

To this:
B7200 HST Serial # - After.jpg

Thanks guys.

Of course I do. It was the first place I checked before searching the net and then coming here. Too bad it's WRONG!! Again.

That's what makes this group so helpful. They know more than the guys who built the tractor.

The RH or LH is looking forward while seated on the tractor, just like the picture I posted and the WSM shows.
