B2920 Canopy Strobe Lights and Mods

I live on a busy town road where cars fly by and visability is poor from one direction. I decide to improve the warning light on my B2920 by adding strobe lights to the canopy. I bought 4 LED Marker lights and strobe controller from www.superbrightleds.com. The lights cost $9.95 each and the controller was $4.95. I took off the stick on reflectors on each corner of the canopy. I bolted on the marker lights, which are surface mount and drilled a hole for the wires. I then installed a switch for controlling them in the removable plastic panel to the right of the 3pt hitch lever. i ran the wires up the ROPS post securing with zip ties. Now I can be seen better when I am out by the road mowing or moving snow. Plus it is always fun to make new upgrades and play with my Kubota.

Where did you get your canopy?

I love those bungee cord headrests.lol

A canopy would be great if i didn't have my rops folded down most of the time, anyway your strobes were a great addition you should post a vid of them in action.

Re:B2920 Canopy Strobe Lights and Mods

I have making some more modifications to my B2920 to get ready for winter. When plowing snow last winter in the dark, the hood mounted headlights were not enough. When the bucket is raised up it blocks the headlights. I decided to add some lights to the underside of the canopy for more light. I used some high powered, oval, truck led backup lights. They mount in a rubber grommet in a bracket that I bolted to a frame I made to attach to the canopy frame. The canopy has a tubular frame under it to support it. I was able to hitch the light frame I made to it with some self tapping screws. The lights and brackets I bought from www.superbrightleds.com, when I bought the strobe lights. I am hoping they will do the trick.

Nice bracket for the lights in front. I like that position, they will probably be safe from most limbs there. Now you got me thinking...

BAP, Do you happen to have a part number on the Strobe Controller ?

I checked out the LED's on the link you provided but was unable to find anything about the Controller. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
Thanks, Dan

PS: Very nice Light Bracket !!!

Part # on Superbrightleds.com site is LSC-100B for $4.95. It is cheap and so far works great. The strobes I added and the works lights have come in very handy this winter plowing out near the road in the early morning and late afternoon when turning dark. They have made much safer. So far, I spent more time plowing snow this winter, than I did all of last winter.

Do you think this would fit onto my L3540? Do you happen to recall the part # by any chance? Is there DC leads available to plug these into from the tractor side, or do you have a battery; I assume it is plugged in DC, but am not clear on how.

Thanks

Here is a part list of what I used from www.superbrightleds.com
canopy headlights PT-WHP10
bracket PT-BRKT
grommet GR-65
plug PL-3R
marker light for strobe MCPC-x14
strobe controller LSC-100B

I used a test light to find power that was turned on when key switch was on. I mounted 2 rocker switches in a plastic panel next to the 3-point hitch control. Ran a wire from where I found the power and put an inline fuse in for safety. Wired the switches and ran the wires up one of the ROPS post to the canopy. The marker lights for the strobes a surface mount, so I drilled small holes for small bolts to mount them and a hole for the wires to run threw. Any other questions feel free to ask.
