Can someone check a tractor in Longview, TX?

Hi! As the title says, I'm looking for someone willing to check out a Kubota L3010 HST that's for sale in Longview, TX. I'd be willing to make it worth their while, especially if you can give me an idea of what might be wrong with it. The ad says it has "engine issues". I called them up, and they said that they had it running at one point, but it sounded like it was binding up. Now, it turns over slowly, and they can't get it started(I can only assume because of the slow cranking speed). They're selling it pretty cheap, $5,900 with a loader, so I have some room to invest some money and still get a good deal. If the hours are correct, at 781, it should still be a good deal, if it's not too expensive to fix. It's 3 hours away from me, so I'd hate to drive that far, only to find it's a basket case, especially if I'm dragging my B7100 behind me as a trade-in.

Who has it ? If its Williams on Hwy 80 between White Oak & Gladewater look elsewhere. I looked at one he had late June & something just wasnt right on the engine sound.
DFW area Craig's List has dozens of Kubotas so why drive 3 1/2 hrs for too many unknowns.

Ya, I hear what you're saying, but thats a lot of tractor for 5900, even if I have to put more into it. What I've been seeing on CL are all in the $8-9K range. Moot subject anyway, looks like they sold it. Not sure which place it was at, I found it on a tractor website. Thanks for the reply!

Ask North Idaho Wolfman or whitetiger how much to rebuild engine allowing for a new crankshaft and factor that into the price, plus transport plus pull down plus shipping if necessary to have it repaired..............and then hope the transmission is ok...............
