A group from our church, and some family, went to the Field Day Of The Past yesterday in Richmond. We met up with Eric McCarthy, his lady friend, and his wonderful mother. It is a great event, and we enjoyed ourselves. Getting to meet and spend time with Eric and the ladies was just icing on the cake! Actually, the show was the icing. Eric is a great guy.
There were a couple of Internationals, slightly modified, that had ice coolers strapped to the side of the block. What is that for? We weren't sitting real close, so I couldn't tell if anything went into or came out of them. Any knowledge? Budget intercoolers?

your on the right track. its fuel related but means different things in different classes. But principally cooler fuel, high burn, more power. Some will be cooling fuel some the charge air.

Cooling the fuel would make sense- I would think that I would have been able to make out intake tubes going in and coming out of the cooler. Fuel lines would be much smaller.

Some of the larger classes also run icewater in the block as well.

OH YEAH I ment to tell ya Mark, they made an annoucement about the coolers being on the tractors. You were right the first time its to cool the intake down so the tractor doesnt over heat!

Well intake or intercooler but you were on the right track...
