Well you could try to pull each fuse and see what stops working then you would know,, just a thought

I cant translate for you but I do know from being in Japan 3 years , they have a couple different writing methods; one based on letters and the other on representative symbols. I would fall back to what skeets said.

Sorry - just couldn't resist the easy jab at the title of the post!

According to the internet there are about 125 million people in Japan. I imagine that most of them can read Japanese.

"Your L1-22 is a factory equipped "Monroe Matic" tractor that was mated to a a Kubota tiller fitted with a "Swing Control" feedback sensor pack.

The Swing Control sat ontop of the tiller and drew power from the tractor via a cable with an 8 pin plug. The female connection point for the tiller was located at the back of the tractor near the three point assembly.

Operatng like a GPS unit the swing sensor monitored the positon of the tiller relative to the tractor through various 12V feedback circuits including a sensor on the three point hitch position lever, the draft control if optionally equipped, via a solid or mechanical linkage on one of the three point arms and housed inside the Swing Control atop the tiller was a dual plane "inclinometer" that monitored the tillers situational attitude relative to the tractor and ground.

The informaton feeding into the Swing Sensor was processed and then fed back ito the tractors optionally fitted dual acting hydraulic actuator valve, as we can see in the pictures.

The actuator valve would then make very quick adjustments to the depth of the three point hitch, raising or lowing it and also make side to side "angle" adjustments to the tiller via a seperate hydraulically controlled three point hitch lift arm.

This hydraulic ram operated "up or down", was mounted on the RH side of the three point hitch and replaced the solid lift arm typically found there.

This hydraulic "ram" has since been removed from your L1-22 as you report the finding of two "looped" hydraulic supply lines under the seat. These would have fed hydraulic power into the ram, extending it and as a result "push" the tiller deeper into the ground on the RH side or draw hydraulic fluid out of the ram, shortening it and consequently returning the tiller to a more level attitude.

So whats the point of this equipment?

Well.......if your a huge rice co-operative and you're looking to increase crop yield you may be interested in having a tractor builder like Kubota develop a tractor/tiller system that prepares either flat or terraced rice paddies at a consistent depth for planting and cultivation year in year out.

If this system allows a farmer to put in a crop and it's planted at a uniform and "exact" depth in soil that has been systematically and uniformily cultivated then an increase in production follows; better yield-same amount of field."
