Cab Glass

Was driving my Kuboda L3560 with the door slightly open and the door got caught on a stump and shattered completely.

Anybody here ever put in new glass?

Go to your dealer and purchase the needed glass. Remove the handle and hinges and put on the new glass.

Other than glazing windows, yes, I've installed glass once. Not really that difficult but requires a lot of patience. If you chose to tackle it yourself you only need a couple inexpensive tools (plastic push stick and gasket lock tool ~$20 total from Amazon)or, can improvise with items on hand.

The most popular selling item at my dealer is the driver's side door on the cabbed tractors. He keeps 2 or 3 on hand all the time. I make sure I close mine even if I'm moving it a couple of inches. Diligence pays, I've had my tractor for 4 yrs. and no problems. Good luck.

Believe me, the door glass is an expensive date. I know too well as I did the same exact thing on my old, sold 5030. Caught the door glass on a branch and in a millisecond the door was a pile of glass bits on the ground.

Easy to replace, the replacement doors are plug and play. Problem is, they are wallet debilitating. Mine was 950 bucks back then and my deductible on the farm policy is $1000.00 so I ate it.

I kept the doors closed on the 5030 after that. Same with the M's.

Not durable when twisted at all.......

You don't have to remove anything from the busted door, it removes itself as the glass explodes....lol

Flip, I was making reference to the two I helped with which were on an M9540. The hardware still had bits of glass around the attachment screws.

True but not much... Most of it is laying on the ground after the 'incident' No matter, it's an expensive lesson to have...

I will say the door gasket falls right off......

Will call the dealer and get the glass.....and never drive with the door open again!
