level rod for bucket

Ok... I may be having a senior moment here....however, what is the purpose of the level rod?

the rod level to indicate that the bucket is positioned flat

which provides the most heat in the winter a cab or the heat housers like they sell at tsc for $200 ? also i recently bought a b8200 does anyone know if i can run a 5 ft. brush hog ? and i would like to get ag tires instead of turf will i have to get different wheels thanks in advance for any info as it will be much appreciated
