I'm looking at ordering a pair of the BXpanded bucket hooks and wanted advice on which ones to get. Should I get the 5/16" or 3/8" grab hooks. I will only be using the occasionally, probably with racket straps or maybe chain.
Thank you in advance.

Nobody?
I was advised by BXpanded that the best seller is the 5/16" because it will handle a 1/4,5/16&3/8" chain. I just don't want to sell myself short and wish that I had bought a different size. These things aren't cheap that's why I'm looking for advice.
Thanks

I have 2 5/16" grabs and 1 slip hook from Bxpanded. All my chain is 5/16, so good there.

Often use all 3 at once when lifting, with slip hook in the center of the bucket with a strap kind of like a top link, and chain on the grabs to the outside.

I too think that 5/16" is the better choice;) - for the reasons mentioned. I have several links of 3/8" - it is heavy and overkill but still fit. I have a few small pieces of 1/4" and they work well for the "little" stuff - the one piece of 5/16 is my go to chain.:)

RTGT, you could have saved yourself some welding by just getting the Boltonhooks......I don't have pictures of mine installed but very happy with them and the service from Kenny. I mounted 2 hooks on the top of the bucket and one clevis mount on the inside in the center.

And miss the opportunity to play with the welder....:D

I wanted to re-enforce the mounting position and I wanted the hooks on the top edge of the bucket, hence the angle iron.

I used Kenny's Bolt on Hooks because I wanted to be able to swap to Shackle Mounts if I wanted to.

Agreed, nothing but great service from Kenny.
