I have a BX25D with a Kubota thumb and 12" bucket. I am interested in adding a BXpanded Quick On connector and a BXPanded Backhoe Ripper. Think the quick on connector will making swapping back and forth between ripper and bucket much easier as I dig out tree stumps. I have about 8 to do this summer, some of them tire sized around and on a slope, so I want the jobs to go as fast as possible.

My question is related to the alignment of the backhoe thumb and the bucket if the quick on connector is being used. It appears in pictures that the backhoe will sit a couple inches lower and forward as opposed the factory position. Will that cause the thumb teeth to not mesh properly with the bucket teeth same as it does now? Granted you rarely have to clamp town that close but there are situations where you might and I don't want it to cause damage to my thumb or bucket if so. Does my question make sense?

I would post that question to the folks at BXpanded. They usually make attachments that work seamlessly with standard Kubota parts, but they would be able to talk about their designs

I sent them an email too, just looking for real life experience too if there is any to be had.

I am fairly sure you won't have any issues, I have the BXPanded thumb and there is enough adjustment to clamp down on pretty much anything.
