First-time Kubota owner here. I have a BX1870 from 2013. There’s a used snowblower package for sale near me. It has the BX2750D snowblower, BX2751 front quick hitch, and a BX2753 mid-PTO drive.

I know the BX2753 mid-PTO is the wrong one for my BX1870, so I’m looking for the BX2752 which I understand is the correct one. But all I see online are the parts diagrams for it; I just want the entire thing.

I look it up on Messick’s and all I see is an exploded diagram. So I’m confused - do I have to buy all the parts and put it together? Is it not sold as a single unit?

I would maybe start by looking at the Operator's Manual for the BX2751.

I believe the only difference in the BX2752 and BX2753 is the length of the drive shaft. 2753 is longer/2752 is shorter.

However, while the same parts, I think the pillow bearings are oriented differently between the two.

Are you saying maybe I can take the BX2051 Quick Hitch and replace it's 8-3/8" shaft with the shorter 5" inch one? That way the existing longer 2053 mid=-PTO drive shaft would fit?

Both the BX2752 and the BX2753 fit the BX1870
The BX2753 has a heavier front shaft and heavier bearings.

So...I'm either getting conflicting info, or I'm confused - or maybe it's both. Some say the BX2752 and BX2753 mid-PTOs are the same length, some say they're not since the 2752 is for the BX18-series and the 2753 is for the BX23-series tractors.

The photos above from RCW's manual (thank you, btw) show the BX2751 front quick hitch, but it shows two, each with with different shaft lengths. Can someone clarify?

What I'd like to find out is what I need to make this used BX2750D snowplow, the BX2751 front quick hitch, and the BX2753 mid-PTO drive work on my BX1870 tractor.

Thanks!

I don’t have your answer, but the BX1870 is narrower and shorter than the 80 series BX1880 (et al) through BX23S. The frame at the front of the BX-1870 is also mildly different, so it doesn’t surprise me that there may be slight differences in shaft length.
