You would need category 3 lower pins and I don't believe the threaded portion of them would fit through the holes on category 1 implements.

Also some implements may not have enough meat around the edge to drill the larger holes needed. I had thought about it but thought the sleeves would be the easiest. Good thought Bri.. and also the top link helps to have a bushing to take the slop out but not always necessary.
