Which one have you found? There’s one underneath near a silver canister (fuel pump) and there’s one on the “injector” side about halfway up the engine. (unless they’ve changed?)

As mentioned - one is up under where the fuel comes from the tank - a real pita to get to.

The other is on the left side of the engine - looking from the seat.

Both are the same filters btw

Remove the mid-mower and then follow the comments above. Hope this helps.

YUP, 2 filters, PIA, but take your mower off and then wiggle under the beast, with your head toward the rear wheels. Look up on the left side of the tank, follow the hose to the filter which is held in place with a clamp. NOW and I cannot stress this enough !!!! Clamp the hose between the tank and the filter, lest ya bath in low sulfur fuel oil ,,,, dont ask !
Remove the bolt holding the filter clamp , and then take off the hose clamps on both side of the PASTIC FILTER only, dont mess with the silver thing after it, that is your fuel pump.
Replace filter make sure it is pointing the right way, attach the hose clips good and tight, tighten the filter clamp, and put the mower deck back on,, sit back and enjoy an adult beverage for a job well done!

Before the beverages and after you get everything hooked by up........

turn the key to hear the pump tick - hold this for 30 plus seconds - the ticking will clear the air out of the lines.

I am looking in the manual under 100 hour service for bx2680 on pg. 90. They only refence one fuel filter. They show a filter mounted on the left (operator's) side of the engine, downstream of the fuel pump.

On my old BX, I never changed the fuel filters, and at 800 hours one clogged. I then changed both of them and it continued running fine until I sold it. I always used clean fuel that was filtered as it was pumped into the tank from my dispensing pump.

You described the top picture which is the second filter. The bottom is the first fuel filter. See page 89, para 3.
