BX2670 garden plow

After trial and error; I now have the plow from my Allis Chalmers 314 garden tractor working on my BX2670 3pt hitch.

have you tried it yet? Does it torque on the front end?(try to swing it around a bit)

and you in 4 wd when you engage the plow?

Do you have front weights? Or more relevant, do you need front weights with that monster?

I haven't tried it on unplowed ground yet. I did plow under this years existing garden. I stayed in 2WD, low idle and it dug deep... No problem. We have had it on the Allis Chalmers 314, 14 hp tractor and plowed in new gardens no problem. After splurging on a new Kubota with loader and picking up a used grader blade, I figured I better find a way to make that plow work instead of buying a 3 pt plow. Keep the wife happy.

Jay, if it's working, it's working. But, I'd think that top chain needs to be solid steel bar. This would allow you to control depth of plow better.

That's a great ideal. I may change to that. The threaded rod that points toward the bottom of that chain helps with the depth. Turning it will adjust the tilt up and down for depth.

If you have a solid steel at the top you can adjust the angle of the plow with your top link.

The angle you adjust your top link with allows the angle the nose goes to the ground and by that adjust the depth. The nose will suck the plow down until something stops it. That's what your top link will determine

Then you would not need the rod. You top link will make that adjustment.
